Oh, the pictures bring back memories. One of my favorite pictures of Maria at the Hogar is her in one of those white high chairs...and the walls...I was trying to explain today where Maria was before she came home. She doesn't remember I don't think, even though she was two when she came home...

Doug & Val - I finally got a chance to catch up on your blog and look at all these beautiful pictures of Mateo! He is so precious. It just made me cry to see you all together and think about the time you got to spend with him - especially to be with him on his birthday! I LOVE the picture of you walking with him (holding his hands). You can see him looking up at you - you can see how much he loves you and trusts you! I am so happy for you. As the u-tube video on your page says, and as I've experienced recently, God's timing is often painful! But it is always PERFECT! I have complete faith that he will come home with you, and I can't wait for the day to meet him in person. So I can kiss those cheeks and give those legs a squeeze for myself! Love you ALL!!! Laura
